Top 3 2025 College Football Games Week 13

It was another weird slate of outcomes last week as we saw an epic comeback by Texas A&M, a rare home loss for Alabama, and a 4th quarter beatdown by Georgia over the Texas Longhorns.  Oh, and James Franklin decided to take the head coaching job at Virginia Tech after being fired by Penn State earlier this season. Let’s see if this week is as interesting as last week, as the College Football Playoff picture starts coming into sharper focus. Here are our Top 3 2025 College Football Games Week 13

No. 15 USC vs. No. 7 Oregon

We start in the Big Ten. Oregon is hoping to somehow keep its title game hopes alive but it’s looking less likely by the week with Ohio State and Indiana ahead of them. A win against a top 15 USC team would at the very least keep them in the CFP picture. And for USC, a win over Oregon might be enough to jump them into a CFP spot. USC has three straight wins including a big one last weekend against Iowa. The Ducks beat that same Iowa team two weeks prior and followed that up with a stomping against Minnesota. On paper, Oregon has a much better defense. In the eye test, Oregon has a much better defense. We know both schools have talented offenses, it’ll come down to who can make the defensive stop. Prediction: USC 24 Oregon 28

No. 22 Missouri vs. No. 8 Oklahoma

Oklahoma has done the unthinkable…they’ve taken down Alabama two years in a row in the regular season. It’s quite the feat for a school that’s spent just two years in the SEC and has an undefeated record against the gold standard school. But emotions can get the best of you after a big win like that. The Sooners have a CFP spot if they want it, but the schedule isn’t easy. Mizzou and LSU still occupy the schedule, and both look like trap games in my eyes. After that big win, I think the Mizzou Tigers can beat this team. I have a lot of questions about this Oklahoma offense and if it is legit. Mizzou has a top 10 defense that would be happy to show everyone the flaws OU has offensively. While Brent Venables will have his defense ready to roll, this feels like a game where the offense fails to show up. Prediction: Missouri 25 Oklahoma 20

Pittsburgh vs No. 16 Georgia Tech

As it currently stands, Miami is the lone ACC school expected to receive an invite to the playoff. Georgia Tech would like to change that. At 16, they must at the very least win out and likely win their conference championship game. They have a really good Pitt team ahead of them this week followed by Georgia, a team that they took to so many overtimes last year that I lost track. I love Haynes King and I love this offense. But with so much on the line, I fear that they might overlook the Panthers who had won five straight games before falling to Notre Dame this past weekend. Pitt averages over 37 points a game on offense and this GA Tech defense is nothing special. The Bulldogs are the real game left on the schedule…music to the Panthers’ ears. Prediction: Pitt 44 Georgia Tech 41
