A week filled with upsets was upstaged by quarterback injuries. Blow after blow was delivered to the QB1 of multiple teams this week. It started with Caleb Williams getting carted off the field in Chicago. In what looked like a scene out of a Hollywood film where the protagonist goes down, the end result is that Williams could miss just a few weeks. Elsewhere, Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome elbow injury that will keep him sidelined for a while. Then on Monday Night Football, Jaxson Dart looked like he seriously injured his knee, and his season could be in jeopardy. We thought we’d celebrate some big upsets but instead are left with a big hole in QB1s. Here are our Top 3 2026 NFL Games Week 3.
New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars
A couple of 1-1 teams that both have considerably good odds to still win their divisions. The Patriots got the best of the Steelers in Week 2 after falling flat against the Seahawks in Week 1. The defense was vicious; it caused serious problems for Aaron Rodgers and came away with a 20-3 win to get their first dub of the year. The Jaguars went the opposite way in Week 2. They struggled against the Broncos. They scored just 13 points, and Trevor Lawrence was held to under 200 passing yards. They get a similar defense in the Patriots this week which should create trouble for Lawrence. The Jags themselves have allowed just 30 points over the first two weeks. This should come down to which team holds onto the ball. Prediction: Patriots 20 Jaguars 21
Los Angeles Rams vs Denver Broncos
After a disastrous Week 1 in Australia, the LA Rams finally cleansed their palette on Monday Night Football with a dominant win over the New York Giants. They did it without Puka Nacua as Matthew Stafford still managed to pass for 327 yards. They limited the Giants offense as Cam Skattebo rushed for under 40 yards and they forced injury replacement QB Jameis Winston into some bad throws. While Aaron Donald didn’t pressure the QB, he did impact the run game. That’s troublesome for a Denver team that could be down their top two running backs in this game and will have to turn to rookie Jonah Coleman. They won’t have as easy a task against a vet like Stafford who still has plenty of weapons at his disposal. Prediction: Rams 23 Broncos 17
Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears
This game might have looked a bit more interesting before Week 2 kicked off. Caleb Williams is now injured and won’t be available in this game. Additionally, the Bears backup QB Tyson Bagent is in the concussion protocol. If he can’t go, the Bears will lean on Case Keenum to start for them. You know the name, but you may be surprised that he’s still around. Keenum hasn’t seen game action since he played for the Houston Texans in 2023. The Eagles have played two tight games, barely scraping by the Commanders and then needing a last-minute drive to beat the lowly Titans last week. With Williams, Chicago is the easy pick, without him, I have to lean toward Philly. Prediction: Eagles 26 Bears 14
