As four Ole Miss defenders raced down the sideline, they pointed and waved at Lane Kiffin as they sealed a win over their former coach, mocked him for leaving, and then cheered for their loyalty to stay at Ole Miss and not follow or chase another bag. It wasn’t the Game of the Year, but LSU vs Ole Miss was likely the spectacle of the 2026 college football season. In week 4, we don’t have that kind of show, but we can deliver some great games. There are six Top 25 matchups. It’ll be tough to pick just three to watch this week, but…here are our Top 3 2026 College Football Games Week 4.
No. 23 Texas A&M vs No. 10 LSU
Both teams are reeling after Week 2 losses. To be fair, one was worse and one probably stung a bit more. The worst loss was Texas A&M taking defeat to Kentucky where they allowed the Wildcats to drop 31 points. Head coach Mike Elko summed things up pretty well, “There are no positives. There is not an ounce of a positive,” he said. And he might not be wrong. LSU meanwhile had to deal with the shame of going back to Lane Kiffin’s old house, the one he helped build into a fantastic atmosphere and fell flat in the biggest way. Ultimately, LSU is still the better team in this game. They get to host the Aggies in Baton Rouge where Death Valley can instill fear in the best of opponents. Given their defensive struggle against a team like Kentucky, I don’t have a ton of faith in Texas A&M to slow down an offense built by Kiffin. Prediction: Texas A&M 25 LSU 35
No. 20 Oregon vs No. 12 USC
The Oregon Ducks are still spiraling from a loss to Oklahoma State. It could go down as one of the biggest shocks of the 2026 college football season. One of the worst teams in the country, handing a loss to one of the best. To get rid of some of that pain, the Ducks put a whooping on Portland State, putting up 84 points in a disrespectful game. This week, they have the USC Trojans. This is a season-defining game. If they lose, their CFP hopes are likely gone. If they win, they are right back on track. USC hasn’t really been tested. San Jose State, Louisiana, Fresno State, and Rutgers make up their body of work. Rutgers, who lost to UMass, nearly got the best of them. This has the makings of a classic letdown game from Lincoln Riley and his team. While the Coliseum should be packed, it won’t be. With a lack of home field advantage and a lack of quality opponents, I trust my gut with the more talented team and trust Oregon to right the ship. Prediction: Oregon 40 USC 33
No. 1 Texas vs No. 14 Tennessee
Who doesn’t love a shot for the best team in the nation to fall at ‘ole Rocky Top? The Vols haven’t had a massive test to start their year. Their best opponent was Georgia Tech, and they made quick work of them. With that in mind, Texas enters as a 5.5-point favorite, not a huge spread for the best team in the country. After their comeback win over Ohio State, the Longhorns had a cupcake game against UTSA amidst a media storm involving Arch Manning and an AI video of Holly Rowe and Steve Sarkisian (yes, this is real and yes, this is the biggest sign that we are in 2026.) Tennessee will be hostile and mean and suffocating. How about a massive upset in Week 4? Prediction: Texas 24 Tennessee 28
