Here we go. It is rivalry week. Many teams wrap up regular season play this week. There are so many great, storied rivalries that are on full display this week. I want to tell you about those great contests and about the history of those games. But in today’s world, we just care about the CFP and how teams can get themselves into the dance. So, I won’t be telling you about the three best games, but rather the three most important games. Here are our Top 3 2025 College Football Games Week 14.
No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 15 Michigan
Let’s hope there is no prepper spray used this year between these two teams. The Buckeyes and Wolverines are both fighting for a spot in the Big Ten title game. Indiana is the most likely team to punch their ticket as they just need a win over Purdue to take the trip to Indy, so I am locking them in. If OSU can beat Michigan, that books them the same ticket. The road is slightly murkier for Michigan. This game comes down to Bryce Underwood and if he can compete on the biggest stage. This UM offense is getting better every week, but they are outside the top 40 in points scored. Now they face a Buckeyes defense that has allowed the fewest points per game in the country this year with opponents getting just 7.5 a game. Michigan fans love this rivalry. The Buckeyes have lost four straight games to the Wolverines, but the defense makes sure to break that streak this time around. Prediction: Ohio State 30 Michigan 18
No. 3 Texas A&M vs No. 16 Texas
Alabama just needs to beat a down and out Auburn team to advance to the SEC Championship game, so I am gonna go ahead and book their ticket. So, all eyes go to Mike Elko and the Aggies who can get to the championship game for the first time since joining the conference 13 years ago. This would arguably be the most important win in recent history for the school. If this was a Jimbo Fisher led team, I would bet my entire mortgage that there would be a letdown coming in this game. Arch Manning has gotten better during the latter half of the season, but this Aggies offense is no joke and I’m not sure the Longhorns can keep up. A&M is averaging over 37 points a game, and this is a UT defense that hasn’t lived up to the billing this year. Congrats to the diehards in College Station, you can take that trip to Atlanta. Prediction: Texas A&M 35 Texas 23
No. 12 Vanderbilt vs No. 19 Tennessee
I am going off the cuff here and ignoring the title games. The Big 12 is likely Texas Tech vs BYU and the ACC isn’t good enough for a spot here. How about the Commodores, America’s Team. These underdogs need a win over Tennessee to cement a 10-2 season and have a very strong resume for the CFP. A loss kills their chances, but a win keeps them alive. They would most definitely need a lot of help, but it would be one of the best stories in all of college football if they can make it. It would help if they got losses from Miami, Oklahoma, and maybe even Alabama. Tennessee is no joke; they are 19th in the country for a reason so Vandy must finish this game off first to have any chance at the CFP. Prediction: Vanderbilt 26 Tennessee 24
