Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 9

The NFL trade deadline is now behind us, so all the big moves that teams can make are sealed. We have a good idea of who the top teams are and who will be competing for the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. Halloween is right around the time when the contenders and pretenders let themselves be known. This week has a ton of great action.  Here are our Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 9.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles

What a game this will be. It’s the first time this season that we will see the awesome rivalry unfold. The Cowboys have been on a tear since that ugly loss in San Francisco four weeks ago. They took down both LA teams and put up 43 points in their last game. Their defense has been lights out and they’ll need it to be like that against Philly. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 7-1. While their defense can be hit or miss, their offense has been outstanding, as Jalen Hurts and company are turning in another great season. These two teams split this series a year ago, but the Eagles loss came without Jalen Hurts, and they still managed to score 34 points with Gardener Minshew as their quarterback. I like Philly and don’t think Dallas has done enough to convince me they can take them down. Prediction: Eagles 27 Cowboys 24

Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs

Tyreek Hill is heading back to take on his old team.  However, this Chiefs “home” game will be played in Frankfurt, Germany. This should be a fun matchup to watch. If we know one thing about the Dolphins, it’s that points will be scored when they are on the field. Miami has the top offense in the league, and it isn’t all that close. They have too much speed to handle, even with injuries to their running back room. KC has not scored at the clip we are used to seeing, so this game will come down to who can be more dominant on defense. The Chiefs rarely lose back-to-back games, but I truly believe that Miami may have too much firepower to slow down. Oddly enough, when I watch this Fins team, I am reminded of an old Chiefs team, one that had Hill. Prediction: Dolphins 31 Chiefs 27

Seattle Seahawks vs Baltimore Ravens

What’s not to like about a couple of first place teams going head-to-head. The Hawks find themselves in first place after the Niners have dropped three straight games. Seattle has quietly hung around all season and now they are in a prime spot after the trade deadline. While their offense has taken a step back from a season ago, this defense is as legit as they come. They have allowed just 50 points over the last four games. Baltimore is riding a three-game winning streak into this game. Their offense has been mostly consistent while the defense has had a couple of questionable games over that stretch. I like Baltimore at home in a tough environment. Prediction: Seahawks 17 Ravens 20
