Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 6

A little coaching rivalry, a good ole fashioned beat down, and how about an epic collapse of a once great giant. Week 5 was crazy in the NFL and this season seems to have no script. Week 6 has some great matchups as bye weeks also play a role. Here are our Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 6.

New Orleans Saints vs Houston Texans

I can’t get enough of C.J. Stroud and this Houston Texans team. They came up just short against Atlanta in Week 5, ultimately losing on a walk-off field goal, but the Texans have a lot of heart, and they are showing it each week. Stroud is an animal and is proving all his doubters wrong. He still hasn’t thrown an interception in his 186 passing attempts – which is a new NFL record to start a career. I am sure there are several Carolina Panthers fans who are wishing Stroud was the guy right about now. The Saints have strung together a few wins despite Derek Carr being really beat up. The Saints aren’t a pretty team to watch but they play in a wide-open division and can still cover a whole lot of ground. With Houston back at home, I am taking the kids over the vets. Prediction: Saints 17 Texans 21

Detroit Lions vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is not a matchup I would have pegged as a top three before the season began. However, I am not afraid to say that the Detroit Lions have become America’s team and are almost must-watch TV on Sundays. The NFL flexed this game to a better time slot because the national interest is there in the Lions who are running up scores and doing it with a lot of heart under Dan Campbell. It’s also about time that we give the Bucs some credit. This team was written off without Tom Brady, but Baker Mayfield has been excellent in this offense, and he says it’s the most fun he’s had playing football in the NFL. It seems like the Bucs are building an identity as underdogs and it has ignited this team. Both offenses can score so I think defense will play a massive role and the lean goes to Tampa who will also enter this game coming off their bye week. Give me the fresh legs at home. Prediction: Lions 25 Bucs 27

San Francisco 49ers vs Cleveland Browns

It’s quite evident that the Super Bowl will run through San Francisco five weeks into the season, even Jerry Jones admitted it. Coming off their epic beatdown of the Cowboys, it’s hard to see a team slowing this Niners team down but the Browns will be a tough opponent. Their defense has been stellar to begin the season and could potentially give the Niners some road issues. The biggest thing to watch here is if Deshaun Watson can return to form or if he is stuck in the way he has been this season. The Browns got a much-needed bye last week, but I still don’t think I can pick against the Niners given how they’ve looked. Prediction: 49ers 28 Browns 17
