Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 12

It is one of my favorite weeks of the NFL season, Thanksgiving Week. We have three games on Thursday as usual and the NFL added a Black Friday game. The Dolphins will take on the Jets which probably sounded much more appealing before the season began. I always love football on Thanksgiving Day as I wait to feast on delicious food and watch some great games. Here are our Top 3 2023 NFL Games Week 12.

Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions – Thanksgiving Day

Nothing like turning off the Macy’s Day Parade and turning on Detroit Lions football. But it’s got a nice twist this year as the Lions are finally good. Good might be an understatement. This team has been dominant, and they are 8-2. The last time they began the year 8-2 was 1962. We were still 7 years from the Moon Landing. Detroit has a real shot at being the number one seed in the NFC, but the Packers are coming off a massive win over the Chargers and gained some major confidence along the way. The Lions keep finding ways to win and they have a couple of the most fun young players in the league lining up and playing their hearts out for Dan Campbell. I just don’t see the Packers keeping up with the electric offense that Detroit possesses, even if Jared Goff has an off night. Prediction: Packers 20 Lions 31

San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks – Thanksgiving Night

This will be a heavyweight battle between the top two teams in the NFC West. The 49ers took over sole possession of the division after two straight wins over the Jaguars and the Bucs. Seattle had a bizarre and head scratching loss to the Rams on Sunday and now RB Kenneth Walker II seems to be hurt. The Niners seem to have their groove back. They were dominant on offense against the Bucs as Brock Purdy put together a perfect passer rating and Brandon Aiyuk went off for a career-high 156 yards. Oh, and don’t forget about George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey who also scored touchdowns.  Maybe Deebo Samuel will find the endzone this week. Seattle has played really well on defense, but this is a tall task. The Niners have a beat up secondary which Seattle should and will attack throughout the game, but I see the Niners improving their record to 8-3. Prediction: 49ers 28 Seahawks 20

Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles

Both teams got wins in Week 11 and are fighting for a one seed in their respective conferences although it looks like Buffalo is much further away on that end. The Bills fired their offensive coordinator and Joe Brady did an excellent job in week one taking over. The Bills put 32 on the Jets and things looked like they were back to normal. Meanwhile, Philly had the toughest matchup of the week taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. They trailed almost the entire game until Jalen Hurts and Co. made a great comeback to give Jason Kelce his first win over his brother’s team. I think what Philly is doing defensively could be a shock to the Bills who might still be getting their footing with Brady at the helm. Prediction: Buffalo 24 Eagles 31
