Top 3 2022 NFL Games Week 2

What an insane Week 1 we were treated to in the National Football League where one game ended in a tie, multiple contests went into overtime, some major upsets went down, and somehow, the Chicago Bears won a game. It was a great way to begin the season and it’s just getting started. Let’s look at the top 3 2022 NFL games Week 2.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs

We’ve already seen a great AFC West matchup between the Chargers and Raiders in Week 1 and the Chargers are the ones who came away with the win. Now, they will have to hit the road and head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs who are coming off a dominant win over the Arizona Cardinals. This is a fun, budding rivalry between Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes. Herbert was excellent in Week 1, but it does look like he will be without his number one receiver Keenan Allen who hurt his hamstring. Mahomes also looked sharp, he used his new arsenal of receivers to light up the Cards. The Chargers big advantage is their new and improved defense. I like this LA squad a lot but playing on the road against this Chiefs team is no easy task.  Prediction: Chargers 24 Chiefs 27

Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens

Mike McDaniel dominated in his Week 1 coaching debut.  Defeating the New England Patriots, and taking down Bill Belichick, is no easy task. The Dolphins defense shut down the Pats offense, creating chaos for Mac Jones all day long. Tua Tagovailoa wasn’t perfect, but he managed the game as well as he could and it’s clear that this Miami team has a ton of speed. On the flip side, Baltimore took it to the New York Jets and Lamar Jackson looked like a man on a mission, trying to show the nation why the Ravens messed up by not coming to a contract agreement with him. This will be a great defensive battle and I think the better quarterback comes out on top at the end of the day. For me, that is Jackson, and it really isn’t a question. This is a home game for Baltimore and one where they get the win.  Prediction: Dolphins 20 Ravens 25

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

This feels like a cursed matchup for the Buccaneers who are just 1-4 against the Saints since Tom Brady came to town. Their only win came when it really mattered, two years ago in the playoffs. The Saints are coming off a crazy, come-from-behind win that saw them defeat the Falcons. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay made easy work of the Dallas Cowboys. This will likely be a largely defensive effort. I would tend to lean on Tampa Bay here, but the Saints have a way of figuring them out each time they play. However, New Orleans is missing their key weapon in coach Sean Payton and that might be the ultimate difference in this matchup. I’ll take the Bucs by a field goal considering I’ll take Tom Brady over Jameis Winston 7 days out of 7.  Prediction: Buccaneers 24 Saints 21
