The NFL offseason is rolling along as most teams have already held their first mandatory minicamp. Most of the premier free agents are off the board so it’s a good time to hand out some grades. Here are our 2026 NFC free agent grades by team.
Arizona Cardinals: C+
I hope you like Tyler Allgeier to go along with an already confusing backfield as the Cards didn’t do much to inspire me in free agency.
Atlanta Falcons: C
The Falcons were pretty quiet outside of tagging Kyle Pitts and bringing in a possible new QB in Tua Tagovailoa.
Carolina Panthers: A
Carolina is coming off a massive rebound season and spent coin in free agency to run it back this season. They nabbed Jaelan Phillips, Devin Lloyd, and Luke Fortner.
Chicago Bears: C+
The Bears needed help on defense and added Devin Bush and Coby Bryant who should be able to stop some legit QBs in the NFC.
Dallas Cowboys: D
Outside of Jalen Thompson, the Cowboys made almost no moves in the free agency market and settled for trades instead.
Detroit Lions: D-
It was a quiet offseason for the Lions in terms of free agency and made small moves that might hurt them come the 2026 season as they opted not to be aggressive.
Green Bay Packers: D+
The Packers were more interested in trades, and their only big signing was Javon Hargrave who has been cut by two NFC rivals in the last few seasons.
Los Angeles Rams: A
Jaylen Watson was the biggest move for the Rams and a very good one at that as they brought in massively big stars through the trade market.
Minnesota Vikings: C
It was an interesting offseason for Minnesota who has a starting QB issue to determine and they opted to sign Kyler Murray to compete with JJ McCarthy.
New Orleans Saints: B-
The Saints handed out big money to Travis Etienne to be their new lead back but a deal that big can backfire, especially when you have a back like Alvin Kamara already in house.
New York Giants: C
Harbaugh is in and he brought some Ravens along with him in Isaiah Likely and Patrick Ricard. There weren’t a ton of massive moves from New York as they continue to build through drafts.
Philadelphia Eagles: C
The Eagles have created a system of drafting well, and finding depth in free agency. This was another free agency period that should provide depth dividends with Riq Woolen being their biggest move.
San Francisco 49ers: B
After largely taking a year off in free agency, the 49ers were busy signing Mike Evans away from Tampa and bringing back Dre Greenlaw. Two bold moves that adds to the average roster age in San Francisco.
Seattle Seahawks: C
The Seahawks lost a couple of key contributors from their championship roster but managed to sign Josh Jobe and Emanuel Wilson, while retaining Rashid Shaheed.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: D+
The Bucs didn’t bring back Mike Evans and have yet to work out a new deal with Baker Mayfield while also losing Lavonte David to retirement. They added Kenneth Gainwell and brought back Cade Otton.
Washington Commanders: B
Marcus Mariota is back after proving to be one of the best backups in the league. They signed Odafe Oweh and Tim Settle to bulk up the D-line.
