2026 AFC Free Agent Grades

The NFL offseason is rolling along as most teams have already held their first mandatory minicamp. Most of the premier free agents are off the board so it’s a good time to hand out some grades. Here are our 2026 AFC free agent grades by team.

Baltimore Ravens: B-

The Ravens made some big moves at big positions. The biggest was bringing in Trey Hendrickson, but they also signed Jonh Simpson as they improve along the trenches.

Buffalo Bills: B-

Buffalo brought back Connor McGovern and changed their roster with the signing of Bradley Chubb and some nice depth additions without making any major moves.

Cincinnati Bengals: B

Bryan Cook is my favorite move here for the Bengals who had one of the worst defenses in all of football and now upgrade their secondary. Boye Mafe can also get after the QB and is coming off a Super Bowl victory.

Cleveland Browns: C

The Browns didn’t make major splashes in free agency but had a handful of solid moves that could help them move the needle.

Denver Broncos: C-

For the most part, it was a lot of re-signing for Denver who made big splashes a season ago and are paying it off on the books. They prioritized bringing back Justin Strnad and Alex Singleton.

Houston Texans: B

Houston had a lot of important guys that were looking for new contracts but made sure to keep happy by rewarding them with new money, like Ed Ingram and Sheldon Rankins while bringing in Reed Blankenship.

Indianapolis Colts: C+

Alec Pierce was the top wide receiver on the free agency market and the Colts made sure he never hit the open market by getting a deal done with him. I liked their signing of Arden Key to help the pass rush.

Jacksonville Jaguars: C-

Quiet offseason for Jacksonville who didn’t do much in the free agency market to improve.

Kansas City Chiefs: B-

Kenneth Walker was one of the biggest signings of the offseason. Off a Super Bowl MVP season, I’m curious if the money pays off for KC as they also brought back Travis Kelce on an incentive deal.

Las Vegas Raiders: A

The Raiders won free agency. They brought in the big fish Tyler Linderbaum who will snap to new QB Kirk Cousins who will mentor Fernando Mendoza. They also added Jalen Nailor and Kwity Paye, Quay Walker, and Nakobe Dean.

Los Angeles Chargers: B+

The Chargers have dumped in offseasons before but this time around they brought back Khalil Mack while adding Charlie Kolar and Cole Strange to the mix.

Miami Dolphins: C

Miami’s biggest move was to give a ton of money to Malik Willis to be their new QB and given how unproven he is, I’m just not sure how that is going to work out.

New England Patriots: B+

Mike Vrabel missed day 3 of the draft but was present for free agency signings. He inked Romeo Doubs and Alijah Vera-Tucker as New England wasn’t content with their runner-up spot last season. They also traded for A.J. Brown.

New York Jets: B+

A solid Jets offseason was apparent with a good free agency class that includes Joseph Ossai and Demario Davis as they add good players on small deals.

Pittsburgh Steelers: D

Aaron Rodgers is back for the Steelers who have his old head coach in Mike McCarthy calling the shots. Pittsburgh got even older with the additions of Rico Dowdle.

Tennessee Titans: C+

The Titans had money to spend, and they did just that, signing Daniel Bellinger, Wan’Dale Robinson, John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor, and others.
