2024 NFL Draft Grade NFC Teams

The NFL Draft has come and gone and it was a fun one to watch. There was history made with the number of offensive players selected in the first round, some major shockers inside the top 10 picks, and of course, lots of guys who slid down the board in a stunning way. At least I got the first four picks correct in my mock draft.  Here is our 2024 NFL Draft Grade NFC Teams.

Arizona Cardinals: A

The Cards got a generational talent in Marvin Harrison Jr. to pair with Kyler Murray and have a stout running back in Trey Benson to lean on.

Atlanta Falcons: D

I hate the Michael Penix pick and there is no talking me out of that. They just paid Kirk Cousins enough money to buy a minority interest in the team, why didn’t they get him a weapon?

Carolina Panthers: B+

The Panthers were the laughingstock coming in because the Bears owned their first overall pick but they made some nice selections with Xavier Leggette and Jonathon Brooks.

Chicago Bears: A+

They got the generational QB in Caleb Williams and then took the third best receiver with their second pick in the first round, all around success for the Bears.

Dallas Cowboys: C-

I thought the Cowboys should have stayed put in the first round and taken a center and I certainly figured they would take a running back at some point in this draft.

Detroit Lions: B

Another nice draft for Detroit as they really upgraded their secondary with their first two picks and could have two day 1 starters out of it.

Green Bay Packers: B-

The Packers now know that Jordan Love is the guy moving forward so they made big investments to develop a strong offensive line in front of him in this draft.

Los Angeles Chargers: A

Total home run picks with their first two getting Jared Verse and Braden Fiske from Florida State who were two big reasons why the Seminoles had so much success last season.

Minnesota Vikings: B-

J.J. McCarthy is a risky selection, but the Vikings liked him enough to trade up and get him. They wasted no time trading up again and grabbing Dallas Turner which was a home run pick.

New Orleans Saints: A+

I loved what the Saints did, getting Taliese Fuaga with their first pick and then stealing Kool Aid McKinstry with their second pick. And who knows, maybe Spencer Rattler surprises us all and isn’t a disappointment in the league.

New York Giants: A

They got Malik Nabers and stayed put to get him and that is an A in my book. This guy looks like a more polished Ja’Marr Chase which is what they need badly.

Philadelphia Eagles: A+

The Eagles may have won the draft yet again, somehow managing to select both Quinyon Mitchell, the best corner in the draft, and then getting Cooper DeJean.

San Francisco 49ers: C+

Ricky Pearsall was likely a reach where the Niners drafted, and it felt like they could have moved back a few times or used their supply of picks to trade up in the first for a tackle.

Seattle Seahawks: A

The Hawks knocked this draft out of the park by getting both Byron Murphy II and Christian Haynes. A successful haul for Seattle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B-

The Bucs were lucky that both the Cowboys and Packers avoided drafting Graham Barton who will be a mainstay at center for years to come but they really needed to draft a corner.

Washington Commanders: B+

It was a deep draft for Washington but it all really comes down to whether Jayden Daniels pans out or not, and if he doesn’t, the front office is on the hot seat.
