Top 3 2023 College Football Games Week 4

It was a lackluster Week 3 of College Football but have no fear because Week 4 is stacked with solid matchups and lots of ranked opponents battling for a spot in the Top 25. Buckle in and get the wings and beer fridge ready. Here are our Top 3 2023 College Football Games Week 4.

No. 6 Ohio State vs No. 9 Notre Dame

There are lots of great top 25 matchups this week, but this is the only top 10 matchup we have in store, and it will be a massive test for Marcus Freeman and his Fighting Irish. There is a lot of skepticism over whether Freeman is really the guy to lead this program. Here is his big chance to prove he’s the right choice. A win over Ohio State would give him a whole lot of breathing room this season and would give the fans a good reason to storm the field in South Bend. Neither of these teams have played opponents that give me a ton of confidence either way, but for now my lean is with the Buckeyes. Prediction: Ohio State 35 Notre Dame 28

No. 19 Colorado vs No. 10 Oregon

Well, Deion Sanders’ team is now a must-watch football and has taken the country by storm. Their week 1 win against TCU was electric, Week 2 vs Nebraska was fun, and Week 3 against Colorado State was one of the best games that I’ve seen this season. The Buffs are the team to beat in college football right now and they deserve everything that is coming their way. They will face off against Oregon this upcoming Saturday and it should be interesting because Dan Lanning has some choice words about Colorado when they announced that they would join the Big 12 in the offseason. The Ducks are as steady as they come in college football, and I would call this the first true test for Colorado. After Colorado’s emotional win last week, give me Oregon this week. Prediction: Colorado 26 Oregon 34

No. 15 Mississippi vs No. 13 Alabama

How weird is it to see a 13 before Alabama’s name? The Crimson Tide and their fan base are in serious panic mode after beating the University of South Florida 17-3 coming off their loss to Texas the week before. Even worse, the score was tied 3-3 at halftime in that game as the Tide used two different QBs, neither named Jalen Milroe who will get the start this game. The Tide have been bad in the trenches and their O-line is generally bad. If they get into a track meet with Ole Miss, I am taking Lane Kiffin’s offense. It is crazy to think about Alabama losing two of their first four games, but I really think we could be in for a nice little upset in this game. The Rebels have scored 73, 37, and 48 points respectively in their first three games. Alabama’s defense showed that they have flaws and this one could go the Rebels’ way if they start hot.  Prediction: Ole Miss 40 Alabama 35
