Top 3 2023 College Football Games Week 11

One heck of a college football weekend where the final Bedlam was epic, the reigning Heisman champ fell once again, and top teams were pushed to the edge. We are two weeks into the College Football Playoff rankings and the pressure only rises from here. This week has a ton of great matchups. Here are our top 3 picks for 2023 College Football Week 11.

No. 3 Michigan vs No. 10 Penn State

Forget about the insane sign-stealing scandal from not only the Wolverines but the entire Big 10 because nothing of serious consequence will happen this season. Instead, I am choosing to focus on the top-10 matchup between two very good teams. This could be the first real, serious test that Michigan has over the next few weeks. Ohio State is the only team that has stumped Penn State up until this point. If they want any chance at playing in a Big 10 Championship game, they must win this game and hope that Michigan can beat Ohio State. The Wolverines are undefeated, and no one has come close to giving them a run for their money. Michigan is the best team in the country in my opinion and I think this is a real chance for them to flex their muscles. Their offense has scored 30 or more points in every single game this year and they have allowed a total of 30 points over the last four weeks. Prediction: Michigan 31 Penn State 17

No. 18 Utah vs No. 5 Washington

The Huskies are the Pac 12’s best chance at making it into the College Football Playoff. They are the lone unbeaten team at this point and it’s hard to make an argument against them being in the big dance come next week if they take down this Utah team. The Utes have only lost to Oregon and Oregon State, two teams ranked ahead of them. They also took down USC in epic fashion just a few weeks ago. Washington has an electric offense and a potential Heisman winner in Michael Penix Jr. He keeps showing up and winning on the main stage and this will be his latest try at it. If this game was in Utah, I’d be concerned but I think the fans in the pacific northwest are ready for this one. Pac 12 cannibalism is very much a real thing in that conference, but I am picking the Huskies to make the CFP committee really think things over. Prediction: Utah 30 Washington 38

No. 9 Mississippi vs No. 2 Georgia

Ole Miss is having one of those seasons that is incredibly special, but this could be the end of the line for the Rebels. We all know that Nick Saban is rooting for Lane Kiffin in this game. The Bulldogs have not been as dominant as we are used to seeing in recent years and have had somewhat close calls in two of their last three games. They struggled mightily against Missouri a week ago and now gets a better team in Ole Miss. If they come out of the gates slowly, I am picking the upset. Maybe I will be shaking my head on Saturday for even thinking this, but I believe the UGA winning streak ends. Prediction: Mississippi 24 Georgia 21
