Spicy Asian Ground Pork Burgers

"Need a diversion from plain burgers? Serve these Spicy Asian Ground Pork Burgers at the next tailgate or backyard BBQ gathering."

Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes Servings: 4

 

1 pound ground pork

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, grated

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic chili paste

1 tablespoon fresh mint, minced

4 sandwich buns

 

Asian-Flavored Topping

1 cup of mayonnaise

1 teaspoon garlic chili paste

For the Asian-Flavored Topping: mix 1 cup of mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon garlic chili paste. Set aside until burgers are cooked. 

For the Burgers: Mix all ingredients and form into four patties. Grill over medium-hot coals for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, about 5 to 6 minutes per side, until an instant read thermometer reads 160°F. Serve on buns and top with Asian-Flavored topping.
