Top 3 2026 College Football Games Week 10

The first College Football Playoff rankings are out! Of course, this list will change as the next few weeks unfold but for now, we have the blueprint of who is in and who is out in the 12-team playoff and have a road map of how these teams can punch their tickets. Miami leads the way with Georgia, Utah, Indiana, and Alabama rounding out the Top 5. 25th ranked Boise State would be the 12th team in as the team from the Group of Six. Here are our Top 3 2026 College Football Games Week 10.

No. 9 BYU vs No. 3 Utah

This is probably the biggest football game that has ever been played in the state of Utah. You have the undefeated Utes who are number three in the nation facing off against one-loss BYU which is still ranked in the top 10. The Big 12 can’t bank on a ton of teams making the CFP, so winning this game is pivotal. This is the first time that these two are facing off as Top 10 teams. Utah has been the most complete team this season, averaging a 23-point margin of victory. BYU has some questions heading into this one, particularly in the running game. Star running back LJ Martin has missed the last four games with an ankle injury, and his status remains uncertain. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier could have a lot on his shoulders against a Utah defense that has forced a turnover in every game this season. Prediction: BYU 17 Utah 24

No. 1 Miami vs No. 11 Notre Dame

Number ones losing this season has been commonplace. Could Miami be added to the list? The last time these two teams met, Miami walked away with a 27-24 win in the season opener last year. Now, the stakes are considerably higher. The Hurricanes have been an offensive juggernaut, averaging 47.6 points per game, the best mark in the country. Quarterback Darian Mensah has been outstanding, throwing 14 touchdowns with just one interception over his last three games. Notre Dame presents a completely different challenge. The Irish have arguably the best defense in the country, allowing just 13.4 points and 236 yards per game. They will be without leading tackler Drayk Bowen, but All-American cornerback Leonard Moore is expected back. This is a fascinating matchup of Miami’s explosive offense against Notre Dame’s dominant defense. I think the atmosphere in South Bend will be a major factor, and I’m leaning toward the Irish pulling off the upset. Prediction: Miami 24 Notre Dame 27

No. 6 Kentucky vs. No. 13 Tennessee

Kentucky has been a shock to the SEC this season. Will Stein is in season one and has immediately left his mark. Kentucky has a spot at the table as it currently stands, but they have a brutal schedule which includes this game vs Tennessee and will then play Missouri and Florida, two ranked teams. Tennessee is sitting right outside the CFP picture and could easily find themselves in the Top 12 with a few more wins. This is going to be a hostile environment at Rocky Top and Kentucky might be challenged in ways that they haven’t been at this point in the season. Tennessee allows under 20 points a game and it could flex its defensive muscle here. Takeaways will be the name of the game, and I think the home crowd will help for an upset. Prediction: Kentucky 20 Tennessee 22
