2024 NFL Draft Grade AFC Teams

The NFL Draft has come and gone and it was a fun one to watch. There was history made with the number of offensive players selected in the first round, some major shockers inside the top 10 picks, and of course, lots of guys who slid down the board in a stunning way. At least I got the first four picks correct in my mock draft.  Here is our 2024 NFL Draft Grade AFC Teams.

Baltimore Ravens: A

Shocking, the Ravens drafted well as they always do. Getting Nate Wiggins to fall as far as he did and then getting cornerback T.J. Tampa in the 4th round solidified their secondary in a big way.

Buffalo Bills: C+

I thought the Bills should have been more aggressive to get Josh Allen the help he needs but they ultimately came away with a great receiver in Keon Coleman and depth for their line.

Cincinnati Bengals: B

Very average draft on paper but thanks to the lord they got Amarius Mims who will hopefully teach the other Bengals O-lineman how to block for Joe Burrow.

Cleveland Browns: C+

The Browns had limited picks and limited roster needs but they shored up nice depth at a few defensive positions.

Denver Broncos: C-

Hope this doesn’t come back to haunt me, but I hate the Bo Nix pick. I think the Broncos watched every other legit QB go off the board and they made a rushed decision.

Houston Texans: B+

I was really impressed with Houston in this draft considering they didn’t have a pick in the first round. Cade Stover is a potential weapon for C.J. Stroud.

Indianapolis Colts: A

I loved their pick of Laiatu Latu, my favorite pass rusher in this draft.  He will get after the QB. They also got a steal in Texas’ Adonai Mitchell who fell down the draft board to the second round.

Jacksonville Jaguars: B-

Brian Thomas Jr. is going to replace Calvin Ridley and the Jags got great value for where they picked him, but it felt like they ignored other needs on Day 2.

Kansas City Chiefs: A

I can’t believe the Bills allowed the Chiefs to trade up and select Xavier Worthy who is likely about to become the new favorite target of Patrick Mahomes.

Las Vegas Raiders: B

Some didn’t like the pick of Brock Bowers but when a guy of his talent is sitting there, you take him, and the Raiders did just that to give them a cornerstone tight end for the next decade.

Los Angeles Chargers: A

While Chargers fans screamed for a receiver, I love the Joe Alt pick as they bolster their line for Justin Herbert. Getting Junior Colson in round three was perfect for Harbaugh.

Miami Dolphins: B-

I loved the first two picks of Chop Robinson, which was a steal at a major need position, and Patrick Paul but Miami made some head-scratchers after that.

New England Patriots: C

I wonder how Drake Maye pans out in New England. I wasn’t all that impressed with his game at North Carolina, and he now enters an offense with few offensive skill players.

New York Jets: B+

Aaron Rodgers likely left this draft with a big smile on his face and for that, the Jets get a big round of applause.

Pittsburgh Steelers: A

Like the Ravens, of course the Steelers drafted well. Loading up on the line for two potential mobile QBs was smart.

Tennessee Titans: C –

I saw a bunch of reaches in this draft outside of JC Latham. There were a lot of needs for Tennessee, and it felt like the best available pick at their needs should have been the plan.
