Every season is Duck season in Eugene. Duck fan season that is. The good folks of Eugene love their Ducks and love to talk about their Ducks and wear Duck gear all year round. According to Bill Schum, “you never know how many people really live in Eugene until game day when everyone comes out to cheer the Ducks.” No matter the occasion, Duck gear is always appropriate.

Oregon is a modern football team. They play the West Coast offense and love to hurry it up. They sport snazzy new looks courtesy of Nike and break all the rules of traditional jersey wear. Ducks are rebels, both on and off the field, and just like their team, the fans are a wild and fiery bunch that knows how to party and celebrate their team.

The Moshofky Center or “The Mo” serves as the Ducks’ indoor practice facility. But on game day, it becomes one of the largest indoor gatherings for tailgaters. Holding up to 5,000 fans, the event features food, games, music, beer and wine both before and after games.

Even their mascot, Puddle the Duck, is a bit of a rebel. He usually enters the game on a motorcycle and has even made his entrance by skydiving. He shows off his guns by doing a push up for each point the Ducks score on the field.

The Ducks are not your typical team, and the fans are not your typical fans. With traditions and attitude all their own the Duck’s Autzen Stadium is on the must-see list of football destinations.
