College football is just constant madness. More Top 10 teams lost in Week 8. More coaches were fired, and the rankings keep taking hit after hit. Some teams are falling into irrelevance while others seem to hang around a little bit longer. Maybe the only thing that seems to remain the same is Lincoln Riley making a fool of himself, something that may never change. Here are our Top 3 2026 College Football Games Week 9.
No. 17 Florida vs No. 3 Georgia
The last time that Florida walked off the field, it upset Texas. They are hoping to do the same against No. 3 Georgia on Saturday. So far, so good for Jon Sumrall in his first season as the Gators head coach. While the Dawgs have one of the best defenses in the nation, this could be a high-scoring affair. Georgia’s offense has been explosive, averaging 43 points per game behind quarterback Gunner Stockton. Florida’s biggest weapon is running back Jadan Baugh, whose 763 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns make him a major threat. Florida is a bit of an enigma right now in the SEC, beating the likes of Texas and Ole Miss while losing to Mizzou and Tennessee. Who are they? I don’t think that identity will be found this week with their toughest game of the schedule on the slate and on the road. Prediction: Florida 20 Georgia 27
No. 22 Arizona vs No. 13 Texas Tech
Texas Tech is hoping to get back on track after suffering its first loss of the season, falling 37-24 to Cincinnati last week. The No. 13 Red Raiders now have a tough test against No. 22 Arizona, which has won five straight games. The Wildcats are coming off a dominant 39-3 win over Iowa State, and quarterback Noah Fifita threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns. Arizona has been one of the more interesting teams in the Big 12, averaging 40 points per game during its five-game winning streak. The Red Raiders have forced 13 interceptions this season, and Fifita will need to be careful with the football. Both teams are 6-1 and chasing undefeated Utah near the top of the Big 12 standings. This feels like a great opportunity for Arizona to prove it belongs among the conference’s elite, but going into Lubbock is no easy task. Prediction: Arizona 33 Texas Tech 36
No. 1 Miami vs UNC
I know that these teams are very different. Miami is the best team in the nation; the Tar Heels are not. But number one ranked teams might be cursed this year. They’ve fallen left and right and have had trouble in games that I didn’t think would challenge them as much as they did. While Miami is the best in the nation, UNC has their number. The Tar Heels have won five straight meetings vs the Hurricanes. Will that continue into a new era of dominant Miami football? Likely not, but who knows? Miami’s strength this season has been their offense and duo at the QB/WR position. Miami will come out of this game with a win, but it could be a lot closer than you think. Prediction: Miami 26 UNC 22
