They say real football is played after Thanksgiving in the National Football League. Here we are. The playoff race is as messy as it gets. I mean, the Chicago Bears are the 1-seed in the NFC. The Chiefs may very well miss the playoffs. The Rams took a tumble from grace. And wait, the Lions are still on the outside looking in. This has been an extremely weird season, and it could only get zanier this week. Here are our Top 3 2025 NFL Games Week 14.
Dallas Cowboys vs Detroit Lions
The Cowboys are on a tear. They are winners in their last three games and are holding strong at second in the NFC East with a legit chance to make the playoffs. One of the teams they will be fighting is the Lions so it works out well that the two will face off this week. Whichever team loses this game see their playoff chances plummet. The Lions sit ahead of them, but their recent struggles are concerning. The defense hasn’t played well and the Lions patented aggressiveness on 4th down is coming up short, making the offense harder to trust. This is a game that goes through Quinnen Williams and the Dallas defense. If Detroit can run it, they will win. Prediction: Dallas 25 Lions 27
Cincinnati Bengals vs Buffalo Bills
Joe Burrow returned to the Bengals and didn’t really skip a beat. After missing most of the season from turf toe surgery, Burrow returned and threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns as the Bengals routed the Ravens. He should only get better this week, and we get a QB duel of Josh Allen and Joey B. Buffalo handled the Steelers in Week 13, but they were taking on Aaron Rodgers who had a fractured wrist on his non-throwing arm. The Bengals are a real candidate to catch some steam and make a legit push in a division that doesn’t have a true star team. If their defense can stop Josh Allen, they take a big step towards that. If they don’t, their playoff chances go down to 1 percent. Odds are, their playoff odds go down to nonexistent. Allen is having an MVP-like season and James Cooks is making it look easy. Prediction: Bengals 26 Bills 33
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers
This should be fun to watch. The Bears have been the Packers little brother for a very long time. But suddenly, the Bears have grasped the 1-seed in the NFC. Green Bay is down at 6, but with a win, that could completely flip. By the end of the weekend, the Packers could be all the way back at number one thanks to their earlier tie and bizarre win-loss percentage. Everything is in front of the Packers and they just have to take advantage of what really is a bad Bears defense. It showed strength last week in Philly, allowing just 15 points. The question becomes: is that the norm or was that a fluke? The Bears are bottom 10 in yards allowed and scoring allowed on defense. The Packers defense might be a little inflated and Ben Johnson will likely have some answers for them, but I am still backing the better team, in my mind at least. Prediction: Bears 21 Packers 31
