It is here. The College Football Playoff committee has come together and unveiled the first poll of the season. The CFP committee will meet numerous times over the next few weeks and the edition that you see right now will likely look different than the one we will see in December. For now, the committee is giving a lot of credit to the Big 10 and SEC. Teams 1-6 are from either of the two conferences. Here are our Top 3 2025 College Football Games Week 11.
No. 7 BYU vs. No. 8 Texas Tech
Hello, Big 12. This conference for a second year in a row seems like it’s anyone’s for the taking and BYU is in a fantastic spot right now. This would be a massive win for their resume. Texas Tech has been great this season and Lubbock is a very hard place to win. The Red Raiders offense and defense are both top five in the country in terms of scoring. They are a tough team to penetrate, and Arizona State is the only team to do that up to this point. BYU is far more vulnerable on defense and can let up a chunk of points. Their schedule hasn’t been as difficult. This is a perfect spot for an upset to disrupt the conference and hand the Cougars their first loss of the season. The tortillas in Lubbock may have been banned but that doesn’t mean they won’t be thrown. Prediction: BYU 28 Texas Tech 36
No. 9 Oregon vs No.20 Iowa
Oregon has a massive test in this one. Iowa got a ranking in the CPF poll but not the AP Poll, and they aren’t going to just fall over. The Hawkeyes have one bad loss which came to Iowa State in Week 2. Their only other defeat came at the hands of Indiana, and they limited one of the best offenses in the nation to just 20 points. That same Indiana team put up 30 on Oregon at Autzen Stadium. After a so-so week against Wisconsin, I don’t feel that confident in Oregon entering this game. I think there are some issues to be worked out offensively, and this isn’t the week to try and figure that stuff out. Iowa will suffocate you defensively. They are second in the nation in yards allowed per game and fifth in scoring allowed per game. Get ready to storm the field, I smell an upset. Prediction: Oregon 23 Iowa 24
No. 3 Texas A&M vs No. 22 Missouri
A magical season for Texas A&M is about to be tested when they travel to Mizzou to take on the Tigers. Missouri has lost two of their last three games to Vandy and Alabama. Those are two legit teams in the SEC and shouldn’t be discounted. Mizzou is a tough place to play, and A&M had their hands full but this isn’t Jimbo Fisher’s Aggies. Upsets and letdowns come less often under Mike Elko and they have proven to me this season that they aren’t as easy to take out. The Aggies are going to push the ball and score. Two of their last four games have featured 40-point performances. A few years ago, maybe the Aggies fall in brutal fashion. Not this time around. Prediction: Texas A&M 35 Mizzou 27
