Top 3 2024 NFL Games Week 8

Injuries dominated the Week 7 headlines in the NFL. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Brandon Aiyuk are all either lost for the year or out for several weeks. DeAndre Hopkins has just been traded and it sounds like Cooper Kupp could be next. There is never a dull moment in the NFL, just ask the Browns and Deshaun Watson, the booing fans, and their new starting QB Jameis Winston. There is plenty to look forward to this week.  Here are our Top 3 2024 NFL Games Week 8.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This is a battle of two very evenly matched teams who are both looking for a way to grab ahold of their division title. The Bengals have adjusted nicely after a horrific beginning to their season where a loss to the Patriots is still the biggest head scratcher of the year. Cincy has won three of their last four and likely would have won them all had it not been for Lamar Jackson a few weeks back. The Eagles are finally back at full strength and their offense is lethal with Saquon Bakley running like a madman. I expect a full shootout in this game. Both teams are coming off cupcake games where their defenses were hardly challenged. Throw that out the window in this one. Both offenses are averaging more than 22 points a game and I see this one tipping over the 50-point mark. I am higher on the Bengals and Joe Burrow has quietly been playing excellent football lately. Prediction: Eagles 25 Bengals 30

Buffalo Bills vs Seattle Seahawks

This is a fun game against two first place teams. The Bills have taken a bit to get their offense kicking but it finally went into full gear last week with Amari Cooper coming aboard and Josh Allen getting over 300 passing yards for the first time this season. He should feast on a Seahawks defense that is getting torched through the air. Seattle allows the 11th best QB Rating to opposing quarterbacks so Josh Allen should have a favorable matchup in this game. Seattle is coming off one of their best wins of the season, going to Atlanta and dominating the Falcons from start to finish. Kenneth Walker III is the most electric player on their offense and Buffalo has been gashed by running backs all season, ranking 20th against the run. I am expecting a high-scoring affair in this game with Geno Smith slinging it and Allen answering himself. Prediction: Buffalo 37 Seattle 30

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers

This is a rematch from a contest in Week 5 of last season, but this matchup could not feel more different than the one from a year ago. The 49ers are struggling big time. They are 3-4 in the NFC West, they just lost Brandon Aiyuk for the year, and it feels like we’ve yet to watch them play a complete game of football against a competent opponent. Dallas is struggling as well with a 3-3 record and an offense that ranks just 20th in scoring. However, the Cowboys’ biggest issue this year is their defense. They are really missing former DC Dan Quinn who departed for the Commanders head job. Dallas allows the 3rd most points per game in the NFL and offenses are having their way. San Francisco is struggling but this feels like a perfect bounce back game for them. Prediction: Dallas 23 San Francisco 31
